Young adults prepare for Jamaica mission

MERIDEN, CT (06-28-2007) - A group of young adults have been meeting weekly for the past months to prepare for a mission trip to Jamaica in August. Of utmost concern is raising the necessary funds for the trip and for supporting the efforts of the Franciscan Friars and Sisters in Above Rocks. The enthusiastic men and women have taken extra jobs to help finance their mission. Their most recent activity was a pig roast yard party for friends, family, neighbors and co-workers, at which they explained their plans to help the Franciscan mission in Jamaica and invited those present to support the effort in any way possible.
