Three Sisters receive Masters degrees
MERIDEN, CT (05-04-2007) - Three Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist completed graduate work this spring in Connecticut. Sister Patricia Glass, FSE graduated cum laude from Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Cromwell, Connecticut, with a Master of Arts in Theology with a specialization in Church History. Sister Patricia is the director of the Franciscan Community Service-based Land Program at the Meriden center. As such, Sister Patricia has supervised over 160 young people who have volunteered their services in exchange for learning life skills through manual labor and classes at the Franciscan center. Land Program experiences range from a few weeks to two years. Sister Patricia is also the Franciscan Sisters' funeral director and embalmer. Sister has cared for the bodies of the Sisters and Brother who have died. She is licensed in the states where the community is present.
Sister Colleen Ann Nagle, FSE also received a Master of Arts in Theology from Holy Apostles College and Seminary. Her specialization is Moral Theology. A member of the Lowell, Michigan center, Sister Colleen Ann participated in the college's distance-learning program. Sister Colleen Ann is the Director of the Franciscan Life Process Center in Lowell, a program offering counseling, education, music therapy and outdoor experiences for all ages. Sister Colleen Ann is also a marriage and family therapist at the center.
