ROCKS, JAMAICA (02-27-2007) - Sister Marcia Ternes, FSE and Sister
Naomi Zimmermann, FSE welcomed Mother Shaun Vergauwen and the
General
Council to the newly-established FSE mission in Jamaica, and shared
their ministries first-hand in collaboration with the Franciscan
Friars. The Councilors accompanied the Sisters and Friars to various
activities in the Above Rocks area - the clinic, the nearby school,
the blessings of homes in four parishes, and joined the Sisters
in prayer and liturgy in their chapel and in the surrounding parishes. "It
was an opportunity to become acquainted with our new mission and
to meet many of the people the Sisters and Friars serve," said
Sister Suzanne Gross. "We felt welcome wherever we went."
