Mass of Remembrance held for hospice families

MERIDEN, CT (11-03-2006) - A Mass of Remembrance to honor and pray for the patients of Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care who have died was celebrated at the beginning of November at the Chiara Center in Meriden. Sponosred by the Franciscan hospice agency, the Mass has become an annual tradition during the month of November, the month of All Saints and All Souls as well as National Home Care Month. During the Mass, a candle was lit for each person whose family members were present. The names of the deceased persons who had been cared for by Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care were projected, one by one, on a screen. Family members were invited to take home a candle as a remembrance of the occasion.
