LOWELL, MI and HOUSTON, TX (03-05-2005) - Spring up? A group of 13 went north for an Alternate Spring Break experience in Lowell, Michigan. Sister Clare Hunter, F.S.E., campus minister at the University of St. Thomas, in Houston, TX, took a group to the Lowell Center for a six day experience. The Sisters in Lowell provided a week of rich experiences based on a Eucharistic theme. The university students experienced the gift of giving their time and energy to others through work with the Sisters, preschoolers, farm animals and with each other. Through daily Mass and prayer, times of integration and a variety of new and unique experiences, the group had a truly grace-filled time, and a most counter-cultural spring break.
