Franciscan Family Life Center Offers Summer Experiences

Pocatello, ID (April 30, 2004) - Once again, the Franciscan Family Life Center in Pocatello, Idaho, will offer day camps for lucky children ages six to twelve. The camps provide integrated experiences of the natural world and Idaho history.

June 22-26

June 22-26: The Oregon Trail: A National Heritage. An opportunity of a lifetime: Experience the largest voluntary migration in history, through reliving the lore, games, food and music of the pioneers. Spend four days and three nights on a wagon, horseback or simply walking along the path trod by thousands of pioneers on their way west. The camp begins at the Family Life Center and terminates at Historical Register Rock in Massacre Rock State Park. This camp is for children ages nine to twelve.

June 30: Fishing and Boating. The most popular of the camps! Spend the day fishing and boating on our pond. Be prepared for boatloads of fun, splashing water and jumping fish. Register early to reserve your spot.
July 7
July 7: Bugs, Bees and Creepy-Crawlies. This camp is for those who love creepy crawly creatures. We will explore facts, create crafts and concoct interesting snacks and even do “buggy” face painting to enhance our dramatic play. Don’t miss out on the fun!
July 21: Monster, Dragon or Dinosaur. For the true dinosaur fan. A day full of facts, myths, stories, games and excavating toy dinosaurs.
