Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist Mark 30th Anniversary of Founding

MERIDEN, CT (Dec. 2, 2003) The Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist observe the 30th anniversary of our founding on December 2, 2003. In 1973, this date was the First Sunday of Advent, and was established as our date of Foundation by the Sacred Congregation for Religious at the Vatican on November 5, 1973.

The Community will mark the occasion with a blessing of the newly constructed addition to the Generalate offices on Sunday, December 7, 2003. The Most Reverend Daniel A. Cronin, Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Hartford, will officiate at the Mass and blessing.
