Sisters to Attend Beatification of Mother Teresa of Calcutta

MERIDEN, CT (Oct. 7, 2003) -The Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist have been invited to attend the ceremony marking the beatification of Mother Teresa of Calcutta. A group will be traveling to Rome to represent the Community at the celebration which will take place on October 19, 2003.

The occasion coincides with the 25th anniversary of the papacy of the Holy Father, John Paul II. The Sisters are looking forward to participating in these two very significant celebrations for the Church. Visits to the FSE Centers in Rome and Assisi are also planned.
