Franciscans Represented in Lenten Spirituality Series

Sister Damien Marie Savino, FSE of the La Verna Center in Silver Spring, Maryland, was recently invited to speak on Franciscan spirituality as part of a Lenten lecture series at St. John Church in McLean, Virginia. Sister Damien Marie discussed the spirituality of Saint Francis and Saint Clare and showed slides of the Franciscan holy places in Assisi, Italy. Over 75 parishoners of all ages attended the lecture. Her talk was the first in a series that includes speakers from the Benedictine, Carmelite, Dominican, Ignatian and Opus Dei spiritualities.
