U.S. Catholic Bishops' Spokesperson Addresses Pro-Life Advocates November 21, 2002. Meriden, Connecticut Cathleen Cleaver, Esq., chief spokesperson on pro-life issues for the Catholic Bishops of the United States, addressed a full crowd at Franciscan Life Center Thursday evening, November 21st. Attorney Cleaver's talk on "A Campaign in Support of Life" was received enthusiastically by pro-life representatives from parishes around the state of Connecticut, members of the clergy and religious orders. In her introduction of Attorney Cleaver, Sister Suzanne Gross, FSE, coordinator of Pro-Life Ministry for the Archdiocese of Hartford, emphasized the significance of Miss Cleaver's mission for the Church and for all concerned with the dignity of the human person.
