FSE Theologian Presents Theology of the Body in Wyoming

Sister M. Timothy Prokes, FSE, Ph.D. was the keynote speaker recently at the annual state-wide meeting of the Wyoming Council of Catholic Women in Riverton, Wyoming. Sister Timothy's three presentations followed the theme of the conference, "Our Bodies: Gifts and Temples of the Lord." She spoke on "Our Bodies as Temples of the Lord" and "Our Bodies as Gift." Her presentation at the conference banquet was on "The Significance of Body and Food in Relation to Eucharist."

Attending the conference were 250 women from parishes in the state of Wyoming, 15 priests and Most Reverend David Ricken, Bishop of Cheyenne.

Sister Timothy is a professor of theology and spirituality at Notre Dame Graduate School of Christendom College, Alexandria, Virginia and is on the faculty of the Permanent Diaconate Program of the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C. She is a well known author, presenter and lecturer. Her theological focus is the theology of the body.
