Franciscan Home Care
and Hospice Care
Passes Inspection with Flying Colors
July 18, 2002. Meriden,
CT
State of Connecticut
inspectors rated Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care "deficiency-free"
following their unannounced on-site visit this week. One of the State
visitors complimented the home health care agency, saying that it is "extremely
rare" in this time of complex regulations to achieve "zero-deficiency"
status upon inspection. Sister Suzanne Gross, FSE, Administrator, lauded
the nursing and home health aide supervisors as well as the clinical and
office staffs for their diligence in maintaining high standards of care.
Franciscan Home Care
and Hospice Care has passed inspections in the past with the same rating,
but as health care regulations have become increasingly stringent and
detailed, it becomes more challenging to be rated 100%.
One of three Catholic
home health care agencies in Connecticut, Franciscan Home Care and Hospice
Care serves patients in 30 towns with the compassionate spirit of St.
Francis and a commitment to respect the inherent dignity of each person.
