Chris Dailey, Assistant Coach of the UConn Women's Championship Basketball Team received the St. Clare Award and Chris Godfrey, former New York Giants player and Founder-President of Life Athletes received the St. Francis Award at the Franciscan Life Center's Sports Banquet at Aqua Turf Club, June 4th. UConn Head Coach Geno Auriemma introduced Coach Dailey and Mother Shaun Vergauwen introduced Chris Godfrey.

Special guests included Sparky Anderson, former manager of the Cincinnati Reds and Detroit Tigers, Bowie Kuhn, former Major League Baseball Commissioner and Rob Szymaszek, former coach of Maloney High School football team, Meriden, and two high school athletes, Lindsey Karsmarski of Platt High School and Katie Redican of Maloney.
