April 9, 2002. Meriden, CT

Sister Suzanne Gross, FSE, presented a briefing, "Human Life and Human Dignity" at the Fourth Annual Prayer Service for Catholic Concerns Day at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Hartford, Connecticut. Led by five Catholic Bishops of Connecticut, the prayer service began the day for Catholics in Connecticut to show publicly their solidarity and faith in light of legislative issues facing our society. Following the prayer service, over 1500 Catholics marched to the Capitol to meet with legislators and discuss the legislative concerns of the Catholic faithful.

In her briefing, Sister Suzanne stressed the theme that "life is precious." Sister is the Program Coordinator of Pro-Life Ministry of the Archdiocese of Hartford. The Catholic Concerns Day at the Capitol is sponsored by the Connecticut Catholic Conference.
