Three Franciscan Communities Join in Pilgrimage November 21, 2001 Sisters from the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, Milwaukee, the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, La Crosse, Wisconsin and the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist, Meriden, Connecticut are joining in a two week pilgrimage to Germany departing November 22nd. The trip is part of an ongoing relationship of the three communities who trace their foundations to a group of men and women from Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Ettenbeuren, Bavaria. It is an outgrowth of the 1999 celebration of 150 Years of Common Founding. The pilgrims will visit Augsburg, Eichstatt, Phaltdorf, Dillingen and other places historically significant to the communities. Four Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist are participating in the pilgrimage: Sister Anne Clare Keeler of Bridal Veil, Oregon, Sister JoAnn Seraffino of Lowell, Michigan, Sister Sarah Doser and Sister Veronica Schueler of Silver Spring, Maryland. Sister Anne Clare holds a doctoral degree in German Literature and will assist with language translation.
