FSE Earns Vatican Library Degree November 16, 2001. Rome, Italy Sister Catherine Mary Clarke, FSE was awarded a Diploma in Biblioteconomia (Library Science) today from the Scuola Vaticana di Biblioteconomia. The school is known world-wide as a top school for library manuscript and ancient documents bibliographic studies. This diploma acknowledges that Sister has a working knowledge of the areas of Library Science as taught by the Vatican Library and that she is accredited by the Vatican and Italian States. Sister Catherine Mary works in the Vatican Library and considers it a privilege to be of assistance to this important mission for the Church. She also is the coordinator of volunteers for a newly formed hospice program in Rome. Prior to her time in Rome, she earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Connecticut and an undergraduate degree in Natural Science from Shorter College.
