"Lighting the Way" During November

November 7, 2001. Meriden, Connecticut.

The campus of the Franciscan Life Center, Meriden, is well lit during the month of November, the month of All Souls, and National Home Care and Hospice Month. Several evergreen trees are filled with lights to commemorate those who have died, many of whom were patients of Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care. Loved ones of 125 persons donated this year towards the "Lighting the Way" program which benefits Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care.

A special tree at the entrance of the campus is decorated in red, white and blue lights to honor those who lost their lives in the September 11th attacks. The trees are a reminder to all who drive by to pray for our beloved dead.

"Lighting the Way" trees will be lit each evening during November. They will be re-lit again after Advent during the Christmas season.
