Franciscan Sister Assisting in Cameroon

Sister Barbara Cline, FSE, Ph.D. has been sent to Cameroon to assist the Tertiary Sisters of St. Francis for two months. Sister Barbara, an early childhood education specialist, will be training Sisters and lay people in early intervention. Sister's work is part of the current companioning relationship of the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist, the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration and the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi with the Tertiary Sisters.

Sister Barbara earned her doctoral degree in Special Education Administration and a Master of Arts in Child Development from Michigan State University.

In addition to holding professional positions in the United States, Sister Barbara was the director of Catholic Relief Services Near East office in Jerusalem for a number of years. Sister enjoys the challenge and opportunity of experiencing other cultures and says she expects to learn much more than she will teach during her time in Cameroon.
