"Healing the Culture" Lenten Series

February 28, 2001. Pocatello, Idaho.

The Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist invite parishoners - teenagers through senior adults - of Pocatello and Chubbuck, Idaho, to this Lenten Series.

Introduction: "Although people want to be happy, we seem to lack a cultural road map to set us on the right path. Without a reinforced road map for happiness, our culture has adopted some rather pessimistic views on what constitutes quality of life." We can each make a difference. Together we can wake our culture from its moral slumber and present a message of healing and hope.

Presenter: Robert Spitzer, S.J. has developed a series of videos in which he opens the door to a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world we live in. His aim is to encourage others to infuse their lives with meaning and purpose which is truly worthy of the dignity of being human.

One of his five videos, each approximately 30 minutes long, will be shown each evening.

The Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist will facilitate a discussion following each video presentation.

Place: St. John's Community classroom, Pocatello, Idaho

Time: You may choose either of these two tracks:

Sundays: March 4, 11, 18, 25 and April 1 at 5:30 p.m.
