Korean Students Spend a Month at Cre-Act School

January 15, 2001. Pocatello, Idaho.

Students and faculty at the Franciscan Cre-Act School are welcoming eleven students from Korea during the month of January. These students between the ages of 10-15, intent on broadening their experiences, have chosen to spend their Christmas vacation in an American school.

The program of intercultural exchange, begun in 1996 was interrupted during the past three years by the political/financial situation of Korea, so its reactivation is a source of excitement for students and faculty at Cre-Act School.

The Korean students attend classes with Cre-Act students each morning, rotating each week to join a different age group. In the afternoons they either participate in arts classes or are tutored in the English language. Each student has an American as well as a Korean name which most choose to use while here.

Cre-Act families enjoy the opportunity to invite students into their homes for an experience with a special American flavor.
