World Youth Day Pilgrims Join in Vigil & Mass with Pope

August 20, 2000. Rome, Italy.

The Franciscan Life Center Network pilgrims joined thousands of other young people in an overnight prayer vigil with our Holy Father Pope John Paul II. The service included prayer, songs, dances and presentations by youth from five continents. The gathering, estimated in the millions, was an unprecedented expression of faith from the youth of the world. The World Youth Day activities culminated with a Mass celebrated by Pope John Paul.
