FSE Named Director of Catholic Studies Program At University of St. Thomas

Houston, TX.

Sister Paula Jean Miller, FSE, STD, was recently appointed Director of Catholic Studies at the University of St. Thomas by Father J. Michael Miller, CSB, university president. Her new position includes designing and directing a Catholic Studies Program for the university. Sister joined the theology faculty of St. Thomas last fall when the new Franciscan center opened in Houston. Sister Paula Jean is the author of Members of One Body and Marriage: The Sacrament of Divine-Human Communion.

According to the new Director, "The Catholic Studies Program at UST offers every student the possibility of another 'lens' through which to view his/her professional field of study."

"The purpose of this program is to rediscover the riches of the Catholic heritage, as it is embodied within literature, art, music, history, the sciences – in the contributions of every discipline, in every culture," said Sister Paula Jean.
