On September 24, 2006, two Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist arrived in Jamaica to begin a new mission in collaboration with the Franciscan Friars at Above Rocks.

The Sisters are spending this initial time becoming acquainted with the people of the parishes and their needs. Please join the community in prayer that this new missionary thrust will bring vitality for the Church. The tabernacle (pictured below) in the new mission's chapel was formerly in the motherhouse at Meriden and originally from Detroit. Father Joseph, OFM Conv. at Above Rocks fashioned the flaming setting for the oak tabernacle.
