The Franciscan Sisters
of the Eucharist began a center in Houston in 1999 as a new
outreach for the culmination of the 25th anniversary of the
Community's founding. In Houston the Sisters work at the University
of St. Thomas, Catholic Charities,
and in the community's graphic
design service, Franciscan Graphics and Corporate Services.
Augustine Hall Living-Learning
Community
In
August 2007, the Sisters were asked by the University of
St. Thomas to direct the Augustine Hall Living-Learning Community.
The program is a residential community of students with the
purpose of integrating faith, academics and life. The Sisters'
residence, Clare Hall, provides a chapel for the Augustine Hall
participants. The program includes study, discussions, community
meals, liturgies and community service projects.
